The Makos 16u Blue team started off their 2019 summer tournament season at the 16u Summer Solstice at NEBC. The team went 3-0 in pool play, landing the #1 seed and a bye straight into the semifinals. The remaining games of the tournament were cancelled due to inclement weather.

In game 1, pitching was the name of the game in a 6-0 win over the SNE Wave. Jacob Santos tossed a complete game one-hitter, while fanning 7 and only using 81 pitches to do so. The Mako offense was led by Robbie Costa, who was 2-3 with a walk for the game.

Later that day, the Makos defeated the Dirt Dawgs 16u Prospects in an 8-0 mercy rule win. Robbie Costa threw all five innings, only allowing 2 hits, and no runners were ever in scoring position. Cole Poissant and Tyler Guevremont each had two hits in the W, and Devin Machado added 2 RBI's for the Makos.

In game 3 vs. the Nokona Braves, the 16uB team won 6-2, solidifying their spot in the playoff round with the #1 overall seed. Pitching was dominant again. Matt Fortier pitched 6 innings, striking out 12 Nokona batters. Fortier collected the win, and Devyn Vezina shut the door in the 7th, tossing a 1,2,3 inning, earning the save. Vezina and Poissant both had multi hit games for the Makos, and Matt Silvia had a clutch RBI in the 6th, with a hard line drive up the middle.

The Makos were slated to play Antonelli Baseball in the semis, but bad weather come through, and the tourney was unable to finish.
