The Makos 15u Blue team continued to prep for the summer season with a DH vs the 16u CT Bombers in Hamden CT on Sunday.  Hampered by players still in the RI State Baseball playoffs and other mandatory commitments, the Makos were able to pull off a split with the Bombers, winning the first game 4-1 and coming up just short in Game 2, 7-6.

Pitching again was a strong suit for the team, with Adam Marsh  and Cam Harthan teaming up for a 6 hit, 13 K performance while walking only 3 in the first game.  The boys pounded out 7 hits, led by Chase Pariseau with 2.  Harthan, Alex Stec, Sean Gallagher, Brycen Tetler (2 RBI's) and Chris Cambio (15u White) all had hits.

In game 2, the boys almost came back.  Trailing 7-1 going into the 7th, the Blue team put up 5, having the tying run at 2nd when the last out was made.  The Makos put themselves in a hole, committing 4 errors and walking 5 mostly in a 5 run 5th.  Chase Pariseau, Sean Gallagher and RJ Fatorma combined to only allow 7 hits, but the combination of errors and walks proved to be the undoing.  Offensively the Makos pounded out 11 hits.  Alex Stec, Cam Harthan (2RBI's), Brycen Tetler (2RBI's) and RJ Fatorma all collected 2 hits, while Joe Cote (14u Blue) Pariseau and Gallagher had one apiece.

It was an exciting comeback attempt and the team showed a lot of heart after flattening out a bit mid game, all part of preparing for a grueling and challenging summer ahead.  All part of the development process of Makos Baseball.
