The Ocean State 14U team stayed hot as they beat TCB (Team Connecticut) in the first game of a NEBA round robin. The Makos scored a pair of runs in the first 3 innings before putting the game away in the 5th inning by scoring 5 times. In the 5th, the offense was led by Billy Roche and Scott Penney, but the big hit belonged to Vince Enright, who hit a triple to pretty much seal the deal. The second game of the round robin against The NE Ruffnecks didn’t start great for the Makos and although it was a quick and well played game, the Makos fell short, losing 5-2.
The Makos were led by Matthew Perez and Damon Asencio, who both collected 2 hits each. The Makos played another clean, errorless game defensively. On the mound for the Ruffnecks was Lee, who pitched 4 innings allowing only 2 runs and 2 hits.
